Double Storey Extension
Quality conversions, bespoke styling.
The Benefits
A double-storey extension is a fantastic way of enhancing your property and adding plenty of invaluable living space to your home. This involves adding the extension onto multiple floors of your home, maximising the amount of additional room available and successfully creating new rooms both upstairs and downstairs that fully integrate into your home.
We pride ourselves on giving our customers the best experience and our bespoke service ensures that you will receive a final product which both meets and exceeds each one of your requirements. Not only can our double-storey loft conversions provide you with additional rooms, but they can also transform the appearance of those already situated within the property, by offering an open plan solution to rooms which are usually more cramped.
As you will be increasing the amount of space in your property on multiple floors, you will embrace the benefits of much more additional living space without compromising on even more of your garden or other outdoor space.

Which Properties Are Suitable For A Double Storey Extension?
Will I Need Planning Permission?
In many cases, you can build a double-storey extension without the need for planning permission as they will fall under the guidelines of permitted development. Some of the requirements include that the extension cannot be taller than the highest part of the existing roof of the property and that it must not extend beyond the rear wall by more than three metres. Extensions must also be at least seven metres away from the boundary and must be built-in materials which match and are sympathetic to the existing structure of the property.
Here at Benchmark Lofts, we will be able to make this process as straightforward as possible for you. We will be able to put together the plans and work to meet the rules and regulations of the local council. Where planning permission is required, we will even apply for it on your behalf.
