The loft conversion project at Nutbrook Street SE15 sought to create a modern, airy loft under permitted development. In 10 weeks, we managed to incorporate a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom into the existing structure, emphasising space optimisation and stylish interiors.
/ Clients Requirements and Goals.
Being an interior designer, the client requested an uncluttered space with wall-mounted faucets and a wall-hung toilet. High-end black fixtures and fittings, large sliding doors, and bespoke joinery were among their preferences. They also wanted a custom bathroom mirror with light fittings and planned to utilise the space around the chimney stack for shelving and alcoves.
/ Challenges and Solutions.
Each obstacle encountered during the project was handled with professional expertise:
Limited Head Height: The project required careful planning due to the limited roof space available. However, our experienced team successfully executed the design without compromising on space or aesthetics.
Large Bespoke Wardrobe and Bathroom: Accommodating large bespoke elements without losing the bedroom's width presented a challenge that was meticulously handled and solved.
Glazing Requiring Crane: Fitting of the large sliding doors needed a crane. Coordinating this process, we ensured a seamless installation.
Intricate Tile Design: The unique tile design of the en-suite bathroom required specialized craftsmanship, which our team adeptly executed.
The large, airy loft, stylish black fixtures, and bespoke joinery distinguish this project. Alongside, the bespoke bathroom mirror with light fittings and custom shelving around the chimney stack added to the room's overall modern look.
